Amy Powers Appointed to Vice President of Regional Sales

PHOENIX (September 10, 2020) – Market Enginuity, the largest public media sponsorship sales force in the U.S. and representatives for the PRX national podcast and broadcast network, today announced that Amy Powers has joined its senior leadership team. Powers has been appointed vice president of regional sales where she will oversee the sales strategy for top public media stations including: Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. The move comes as a part of the Market Enginuity focus on accelerating investments in sales enablement to ensure public media remains competitive in the evolving media world.

Building on over a decade of media experience with companies including Chicago Tribune Media Group, The Baltimore Sun Media Group and more, Powers is an accomplished sales leader. Most recently, she served as the senior director of integrated media partnerships for Market Enginuity at WAMU in Washington, D.C. Under her leadership, the station’s corporate sponsorship revenue nearly doubled in three years and Powers pioneered new product offerings in sponsored content and broadcast attribution that benefited the local public radio industry.

The Market Enginuity team is fueled by a passion for independent media, which is journalism for the people, and helping stations to secure sponsorship to fund what matters most — the valuable news content that listeners want and need. Powers embodies this mission, and also serves as an important industry leader as the current chair of Greater Public’s Heritage Group, which includes senior revenue leaders from the top 25 public radio stations around the country.

Powers joins Donna Fuhrman in the role of regional vice president for Market Enginuity. As a regional management team, they will bring more capacity for learning and development opportunities to the Market Enginuity sponsorship teams across the country. She will report to Harry Clark, Market Enginuity chief revenue officer.
