Market Enginuity expands with the addition of a new business development vice president based in New York.

“We are thrilled to announce that Dana Elmquist will join Market Enginuity as vice president of enterprise business development” said Managing Director Jim Taszarek. “Dana’s experience developing holistic, creative and innovative multiplatform solutions for national and global clients broadens our capabilities for client stations and producers.”

There, he collaborated with a 14-person national salesforce, providing strategical guidance to unlock new business. Additionally, he initiated and led key brand and agency business development for the organization.

Market Enginuity Partner and Executive Vice President Harry Clark said, “Dana will evangelize the power of public media to marketers not currently considering it in their marketing mix, and introduce brands to new ways of leveraging their marketing spend. His expertise in enterprise business development strengthens Market Enginuity’s ability to support our clients and the public media industry. Dana’s C-level contact with clients and their agencies plus his collaboration with our sponsorship sales teams across the country will forge new marketing partnerships for Enginuity clients.”

Kirk Nelson, co-founder of Market Enginuity, added, “Dana’s passion for fostering and encouraging the success of others is a strong cultural fit with our organization. His expertise will help us grow future public media leaders.”

Elmquist said, “I’m excited about joining a team that is defining a new model of public media sales and marketing. I look forward to working with stations and producers to maximize national revenue across their multiple platforms.”

Additionally, Elmquist led corporate and business development at Brooklyn Public Library and worked in institutional giving and programming at the Museum for African Art (now the Africa Center) during a $100 million capital campaign that resulted in a flagship multipurpose arts space on upper 5th Avenue in Manhattan.

Elmquist has published articles in the Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society, Performa, NPR’s The Signal, and Politique Africaine.
