On March 28, Market Enginuity will assume responsibility for sponsorship sales at KCUR in Kansas City, adding NPR news station KCUR 89.3, 91.9 Classical KC and podcaster KCUR Studios to its roster of public media clients.
Market Enginuity embraces the opportunity to be a meaningful partner in securing sponsorship revenue that KCUR can invest in journalism, multiplatform innovation, and DEIB initiatives.
KCUR 89.3 — Kansas City’s NPR Member station — broadcasts within a 90-mile radius of Kansas City and ranks ninth among public radio stations countrywide by audience share. Market Enginuity will convert the strong audience share into sponsorship revenue.
Leaning on its experience with new station launches and classical formats, Market Enginuity will apply best practices to grow revenue for the young Classical KC, which launched in July 2020.
With St. Louis Public Radio as a client, Market Enginuity will open relationships with businesses and organizations that seek broad exposure in Missouri.
Market Enginuity Vice President, Regional Sales Manager Donna Fuhrman will helm the sponsorship team which will consist of roles that specialize in various relationship stages and sizes of sponsorship clients. Most account managers will work locally in Kansas City.
