This spring, each Market Enginuity employee received a report in their home mailbox. The inaugural Market Enginuity diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) report recounted their collaborative steps made over the past two years, toward systematic change.
“The report is one way we evaluate and share our progress, own our shortcomings, and outline our next goals. We want our DEIB priority to maintain deserved visibility and invite participation in it. Together, we are creating an organization where all team members feel welcome and know they belong,” said Market Enginuity President Jim Taszarek.
The Enginuity embrace of DEIB includes mindful training, measurable initiatives, and weaves practice into daily operations. The report highlights tangible milestones and employee perspectives.
At the earliest stage, foundational changes resulted in creation of a volunteer DEIB committee and statement, and unconscious bias training companywide. New policies and initiatives consist of blind recruitment and diverse candidate sourcing, and Caring Conversations that have featured expert guest speakers.
Director of People Operations and Organizational Effectiveness Randee Manley notes an emphasis on fostering Belonging in 2022. “We will center our activities around creating a safe space in which all employees feel seen, connected, supported and proud to be part of the Market Enginuity team.”
